dr.andre is a simple log to keep track of my actions during my PhD at the Forschungszentrum Jülich, near Aachen1. I’ve started my PhD in February 2012 and plan to finish it in February 2015. In the time from March 2013 to February 2014 I’m staying at the University of Torino2 and work with the colleagues there.

The main content of this log are weekly reports on my progress or talks I held. Sometimes I stumble upon something I consider useful also for others, so I post it. Sometimes I had to find a solution for a problem the hard way, so I post the solution that others might get to the interesting stuff quicker. I started off in German, but figured it might be a good idea to switch to English3, since this will be the language used also in my thesis.

To summarize: I want to have a log of my time as a PhD and publish some stuff, others might find with a search engine. So, if you are interested in what I do, go ahead and read. But be aware: I don’t put much effort in making the things I do easily understandable. Except for the solution posts.

If you want to know more about me, go over to upperstage.de (only German) or my profile page andregoerres.de.
